Kate Gosselin Addresses Rumors On ‘The Today Show’
“I feel like every morning I wake up and there’s a new rumor.” That’s how Kate Gosselin began her exclusive interview with Meredith Viera Monday on NBC’s “The Today Show.” The mother of eight and co-star of TLC’s popular “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ was on the show to talk about what is really going on with her life which, recently in the press, has been dominated by stories of her ex-husband Jon Gosselin’s many exploits.
In response to Jon’s exploits with the other ladies, Kate was very short in her responses. “Clearly, his goals are not my goals,” she said to a question about him dating other women. “They’re his decisions,” was her answer to another question. “They might not be the ones that I would make.”
She admitted that, while she still loves the Jon she once knew, she thinks this would have happened with or without a television show to make them so famous.
She addressed other rumors as well. She doesn’t have a condo in Maryland and she’s not dating Steve Neild.
“There is no affair, there never has been an affair,” she said. “He’s one of our rotating security people. It’s just another crazy rumor. It sells tabloids.”
Kate was extremely upset that her brother and his wife are trying to make money on their relation to the couple and finally addressed why she still wears her wedding ring even though she’s divorced.
“For them,” she said with a tear, addressing her eight children. “I don’t want to upset them. While I’ve been very real and as honest as I need to be, I don’t want to shock them. I’ve walked slowly through this with them. When they’ve asked questions, I’ve answered them.”
