So apparently Coke has decided to come out with a line of “vibrancy drinks” called Vio. Vio is a carbonated, fruity flavored milk. Well, more specifically its skim milk mixed with sparkling water, flavored with fruit and sweetened with cane sugar. I really don’t know what to say about it other than that, except, “eh?”
A representative from Coca-Cola claims it tastes like “a birthday party for a polar bear.”
I don’t even know what that means. Polar bears like fizzy milk? The bubbly milk tastes like baby seal blood mixed with confetti frosting?
This new carbonated milk had been on trial basis since June 2009 for New Yorkers and is available in certain health food stores (this is healthy how? it has 26 grams of sugar per bottle- which puts it right up there with every other non-diet Coke product) and delis around the city. It is marketed as “natural” with flavors like peach mango, berry, citrus and tropical colada. It runs you around $2.50 per aluminum bottle and doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
Just how I like my fizzy milk- warm in an aluminum bottle.
And I thought carbonation was only to rot your teeth. Why add it to milk? Its like a dentist’s nightmare, “drink milk to strengthen your teeth. Except for the carbonated kind which will rot them faster.”
I want to try it, but I want to try it on my cereal. I bet with the fizz my Rice Krispies would explode.
What do you guys think? Worth a try or did you just throw up a little bit in your mouth?

I imagine it tastes a lot like the throw up in my mouth.

What next, really. What is going on with the drinks, why don't they also just add banana and pb too? Fizz smooties? I have to give you kudos on the exploding Rice Krispies :-) Great visual

Mmmm, "baby seal blood mixed with confetti frosting". Your description is probably a lot closer to the taste than Cokes! Yuck, we will be staying away from this one.
