Tough Girl’s Guide to Feeling Sexy

Sex appeal.  Every woman has it – it’s God’s gift by default.  But too often we busy, professional women allow ourselves to shelve our sex appeal and get bogged down by the daily grind.

It’s also well known that once we get in a relationship, women get comfortable, and underestimate the importance of exuding sex appeal.

This is my call to arms for all women, whether you’ve been married for twenty years or single for the past ten, whether you’re a size 4 or 14, you’ve got it.  Tap in to your inner sex goddess and let her out.  Follow these guidelines and you’ll find yourself feeling confident, sexy, and remembering that it is a great day to be a sexy, confident woman.

1.  Shoulders back, boobs out

You’ve seen it before.  A woman walks in to a room and she may not be the most beautiful one you’ve ever seen but she has that certain je ne sais quoi  - an air about her that says sex appeal.  It’s an attitude. Before you leave the house, remember that you’ve got it too.  Start to carry yourself with your head up and make eye contact.  Walk in a room like you own it and soon enough others will take notice.

2.  Wear sexy lingerie – to the grocery store

Still wear clothes over your lingerie (I can’t have people getting arrested at Trader Joe’s due to my advice), but just putting on a sexy bra and panties makes me feel much more sexy.  It will be your own private secret that while the deli boy is slicing your turkey breast you’re wearing a silk g-string or no panties at all.  Throw away your granny panties and wear your night-on-the-town naughty panties as you do your normal daily activities.  You’ll be exuding sex appeal everywhere you turn.

3.  Ban negative self-talk

As soon as you start to say, “I’ll feel sexy once I lose ten pounds” stop your brain.  Feel sexy now. It is, after all, a feeling.  It’s independent of ten pounds.  It’s entirely dependent on you.  And I don’t know any man who sees a woman exuding a confident, sexy attitude who says, “She’s just ten pounds away from rocking my world.”  It doesn’t exist.

Remember, sexy is a state of mind.   Put yourself in a sexy frame of mind every day. On the days you’re not feeling quite as sexy, resist the urge to throw on the sweat pants.  Kick yourself with a pair of stilettos and fishnets and walk through life knowing that your sex appeal is a resource waiting to be tapped.
