Michael Jackson’s Death a Homicide?

Michael

Michael Jackson’s death is still a mystery. CNN reports that the Los Angeles County Coroner has made the preliminary report that he died of an overdose of propofol, a powerful sleep drug. Londell McMillan, the Jackson family’s lawyer, said the report “reaffirms the very sad reality that there was a tragic and gross violation of duty and care for Michael Jackson.”

The Associated Press reported yesterday that the LA County Coroner ruled MJ’s death a homicide, but nobody can seem to figure out the “law enforcement official” that information came from. The Coroner’s office had “no comment” on the report, and a spokesman from the LAPD said the story didn’t come from them, either. Weird, right?

Still, the Jackson family is determined to find the person responsible for ending Michael’s life, whether it was homicide or not. Their publicist said the “family looks forward to the day that justice can be served.”

The information about MJ’s drug overdose came from a 32-page report, which detailed all the doctors who treated him and all the drugs they used. Michael’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, had been giving him propofol for his insomnia. ”We will not comment on the “anonymous” law enforcement source that claims that Michael Jackson’s death will be ruled a homicide,” Murray’s lawyer Ed Chernoff said in a statement on his firm’s website. “Most of the reports by “anonymous” sources have been proven wrong. We will be happy to address the Coroner’s report when it is officially released.”
