Worst customer service… oh there have been so many! Well, recently my phone broke. The 1 button just didn’t work! One of the reps at the store made me wait an hour for my turn, and then took my phone for 45 minutes to upgrade the software even though it clearly was not a software problem, and then when I got back he wouldn’t talk to me about my phone unless I signed back in and waited another hour! Needless to say, I left.

The worst customer service I received was in a small diner out in the middle of nowhere, the service was slow and they rarely checked on us. But then when we ordered food and I requested no onions in my omelet the waitress said I don’t know if we can do that today, the chef is in a bad mood. Seriously? I wanted to walk out right then and there, but we were dining with the in laws.
I had the worst experience with my bank this Summer. I cashed a check from my University in May. It “bounced” *two months* later putting me in the red. They said the account on the check was invalid and to call the school. My school said the account was valid and that there was a mistake between the bank and the federal reserve. I spent hours on the phone trying to get it all straightened out. The people on the bank’s end were so condescending and uninformed. Even the manager gave me misinformation. On top of it all, they mailed the overdraft notification to the wrong address several days later. Everything’s fine now, thanks to patient people at my school. So annoying!
i was totally looked down on my the workers when i tried to substitute some of ingrdients on a dish at a restaurant… the waiter wouldnt even let me NOT get some of them…. it was not worth all the money we paid at the end.
i went to a well know home improvement store with my 75 yr old mother last xmas, to buy a tree. my arm was in a sling. we paid for the tree and i asked for assistance getting on my van. “we don’t do that”. even tho there were several able bodied young men (employees) standing around doing nothing. well, i immediately got a refund, and took my $ elsewhere.
Worst Experience ever was in London UK at a top shop… they were more interested as behaving like customers… didn’t want to ring us out.. we just left everything on a table and took off.
Oh man.. it was at a restaurant in socal called BJs… they took hours to serve me and a friend… they werent even that busy. We even complained and they totally didn’t seem bothered.
I feel as though I’ve had many bad customer service experiences, but I can’t think of one in particular. However, Zappos has great customer service and an awesome return policy. I love them for that.
2 words: US. Airways. made the trip back to school after spring break last year quite interesting.

Worst customer service experience would have to be at a restaurant where it took waaaaay too long for our food and almost each of our orders was incorrect! It was just such a waste of time and money to eat there and in the end there was no real apology!
The worst customer service I’ve experienced is when I was getting my home phone # ported to a cell phone and then switching my internet company. They said it will take up to an hour or 2 days for the # to be ported but after 5 days I called them and they said that since it was a landline porting to a cell phone that it would actually be 10-14 days and that doesn’t start until after the interent company came and disconnected. So about 3 weeks later I had my phone ported! Thanks for the opportunity.
The worst customer service was with an internet company. They overcharge me and would not issue me a refund because they said their stamp and paper cost more than the amount they own me so the decided to “write it off” (aka rip me off). She was very rude. The amount was not huge, around $3-$4, but her attitude was not appreciated.

The worst customer service I experienced was with my hospital and insurance provider. A couple months after having my baby I was told I had paid off all of my bills and then when my baby was 8 months, I was billed 2,000 for my stay. They had my wrong address so it took forever to get to me so it was overdue and sent to collections. It took me two weeks to contact the right people to figure it out and I ended up paying the $2,000 (grudgingly). I am so glad I switched providers!!!

I was on the other end of a customer/employee
episode! I worked in fashion for 5 years. A customer had bought a formal dress from me and a few days later, she came to return it.
She had no receipt and it had obviously been worn. I explained the store return policy, but she asked to see a manager! The manager
made me let her return the dress. Here I was following the rules and he made me look like a fool! I will never forget that.
Thanks, Cindi

Was when I went to this restuarant where the waitress took forever to refill our water, didnt give us our bread til our food came, took forever to give us our bill and when we got it, she took soo long to take it. i got so fed up and brought it up to them and they told me I had to sit down and wait for my waitress. Then after a bit longer she came and took forever to bring it back…..
I ordered a mattress and the delivery guy showed up three hours later.
Then, the man came up and asked me to carry the mattress up myself (four flights of stairs). I said no.
Then, he tried to leave it in the hallway.
Then, he cornered me in my bedroom and tried to attack me. I had to call the cops.
When I called the company they barely cared… refused to give me his name to press charges (since he forged his signature on the copy of the delivery page he gave me). It ended up at the BBB soooo much drama, right!?
I follow you on twitter too (NatchB)
and oh goodness, I’m sure I’ve had bad customer service experiences but I must have blocked them all out because I can’t think of any at the moment. haha
my worst experience with CS was when i was one the other end- selling. The lady had a huge bill on her cell phone and was really mad when i had to redirect her to a sprint store (we only sell phones but do not do CS), so she threw money at me. that was the rudest person i met in my life, really thrashy

worst experience was when we were on our honeymoon at some random restaurant and our waiter sat down at the table across from us and talked on his cell phone. we were out of everything and trying to get his attention, it was pretty bad.
The worst customer service experience I’ve had was at a salon near my house,. I came in & rang the little dinger, and I could see the hairdresser not more than 20 feet from me, cutting someone’s hair, and she just completely ignored me! I waited at the counter like 10 minutes and she was still ignoring me. I even said “Hello?” like 5 times. Just rude!

any time i enter forever 21?! haha, the service is just too slow and the people working there are never very friendly.
My worst customer service experience was last week at Williams Sonoma. I was buying an overpriced jar of pumpkin butter to use up an old gift card and had to wait 15 minutes at the register before the only visible employee stopped looking at recipes in a cookbook with the one other customer in the store and realized that I was actually buying something…
I went to a Starbucks the other day to pick up some drinks, and I had a coupon for a $2 grande iced drink. I placed my order and put the coupon on the counter. As the counter girl was ringing me up, she didn’t discount me for the coupon, which was in plain sight and that I had already mentioned. When I asked her about it, she said “Oh well, I already rang you up, you can use it next time.” I’ll pretend to be a lady and say I just sucked it up and smiled, but you better believe I got my discount.
How rude!
Oh no – I hope I’m not too late!
My worst customer service story has to do with hiring a contractor to put in hardwood floors.
We found this guy’s info through the store we purchased the flooring. We called him and he came over the next day to give us an estimate. Very friendly and very eager to work.
We hired him on the spot, picked a date for him to come over and gave him a $100 deposit.
The day he was supposed to come – he never showed. My husband had taken the day off of work and called this guy repeatedly. Finally in the afternoon – the contractor calls him back and says that he had been robbed and was dealing with the police all morning. He apologized and rescheduled.
The rescheduled day came and he was still a no sho. This time I had taken off of work and I was NOT tolerating this. I called him repeatedly and finally he answered. I demanded an answer. He proceeded to tell me that his wife had left him. I called him out on it and said he told my husband he was robbed. He said, “Oh… see… I thought I was robbed but my wife had just taken all our stuff.”
He then proceeded to go on and on about how his “world is crumbling”.
I am a nice person but I had to call bulls**t on this one. I said his personal life had nothing to do with our contract and that if he did not come to do the floors that I would pursue legal action to get my $100. Now his world wasn’t crumbling anymore. I demanded a discounted rate and he agreed.
When he finally DID come with his merry band of idiot contractors, they spent the entire time asking me how much I spent on items in my house (!!) and when all was said and done, I realized that they had patched holes in my drywall using PAPER TOWELS and caulk!
I’ve had countless bad experiences with Comcast cable…..
Since I’m a lover of lists, I’ll tell me stories in list form:
1. Drilling a hole in the floor of my rented house, causing the carpet to rip un and run, costing me $100 out of my security when i left!
2. Never coming when there’s a problem, but being right on time to pick up your crap if you didn’t pay the bill.
3. Hold times that are so long, i swear i grew a beard.
4. Cable guy backed into my neighbors car.
5. Cable guy never shows up.
6. Cable guy never shows up, until I get in the shower…..and leaves.
7. OVerall rudeness and mood ruining
Yes! Hope I win.
