“Can you say ‘lazy ass’ on TV?” Well, either way, that’s what Anne Heche said when Dave Letterman asked her about her ex-husband, Coley Laffoon. Anne, the gorgeous blonde actress who can be seen in HBO’s new show Hung, got a divorce from Coley back in March after a two-year separation, but she says he keeps trying to hang out with her.
“He’s doing a lot for himself right now,” she said sarcastically. “The newest and greatest event is that he wants to be coaching soccer. ” She added, a bit more seriously: “It’s funny, because you can’t quite let go of the ex.” Anne also chastised Dave for ignoring her advice from her last Late Show appearance. “Don’t get married,” she repeated slowly. “Forever engaged is a wonderful, romantic thing to do.”
“I can’t even get a divorce,” she lamented. “Like, I’m divorced, but now he wants me to come watch him run around in his little white shorts playing soccer. I divorced you. I don’t want to see you on Saturday.” Probably her worst insult came when Dave asked her about Coley’s profession; she said, “Dave, he goes out to the mailbox and he opens the little mailbox door and goes ‘Oh, I got a check from Anne! Oh my gosh, I got a check from Anne!”"
Yeesh, I wonder if he’s as bad as Anne says he is – or if she’s as “fantastic” (her word).
