We all know exercise is great for your figure, and your heart, and your bones and all that other junk I have to say because I’m a personal trainer, but on a more superficial note, exercise is also great for your skin.
Wherever you can get your motivation, right? As long as it gets you moving.
Women spend thousands of dollars on creams, and lotions and strips and peels every year to try and get great, glowing skin. The truth is, good skin comes from the inside out- and is one more reason to eat right and to exercise consistently.
Exercise stimulates blood flow in your body, which brings oxygen rich blood to the surface. This gives that rosey glow to your cheeks, causing your skin to look radiant. The higher you get your heart rate during exercise, the faster your blood travels through your body. Thus, the more intense your exercise, the more glowing your skin becomes.
Use it to your advantage: before a big date, fit in a quick, high intensity workout to give your skin that extra sexy oomph. Or, if you are short on time, do a few squat jumps or jumping jacks before the doorbell rings for a great first impression. Just make sure you put on your deodorant.
A healthy diet is also important for great skin. Staying away from high fat, greasy, and processed foods packs a double punch: your waist line will whittle and your skin will stay blemish free. A diet high in water, either through water rich foods like fruits and vegetables, or just chugging bottles of H20, helps prevent toxin build ups in your body which can effect your hormone levels and your complexion.
Exercise can be your trick to glowing, radiant skin, but your sleeker figure will keep those ”pregnancy glow” questions at bay.
