Product Review: Cargo Water Resistant Bronzer

As I write this product review, I’m wiping the sweat from my brow as its a very hot, humid day in Los Angeles. Yes, I said it was HUMID in LA, the land of sun, faux tans, and dry heat. And when the weather gets this hot, I never like to wear too much makeup because there’s nothing more unattractive than having smeared eyeliner and blotchy bronzer, all due to the heat.

So, I was more than skeptical when I was asked to try Cargo’s Water Resistant Bronzer which promises to “help maintain a gorgeous bronze glow that stays put rain or shine.” You may already know Cargo’s uber-famous and popular regular bronzer that is a staple of women everywhere, as it gives you that sun-kissed glow without having to sit in the sun. It also contains a unique silicone-coated talc that promises to provide better adhesion to the skin and withstand water and sweat.

I’ve always loved bronzer for its ability to add definition to my round features and how it gives you that “healthy glow,” look without having to worry about aging your skin. So I gave this product a whirl and used it every morning for about a week and a half and was very happy that it didn’t have an orange-like hue that the original bronzer has.

Instead there is one uniform color, “Golden Brown,” that somehow looks good on everyone’s skin tone. (I think) And I was very pleased with the results as it..
1) Did not smear even when I was sweaty
2) The “Golden Brown” color did not have strange yellow or orange tints and instead gave me a golden glow factor

Overall, I’d say that you should give this product a try. Quick to apply and difficult to smudge or smear, Cargo’s Water-Resistant Bronzer actually lives up to its promise.
