Nora Zehetner, Robert Baker, and Jesse Williams Scrub in for Katherine Heigl on “Grey’s”

If you complain enough, you get what you want. That’s the latest lesson from always-opinionated Katherine Heigl, who has been granted a 5-week leave from Grey’s Anatomy not long after she complained about the 17-hour days. (They swear the two events are unrelated, though.) According to the Los Angeles Times, she’ll be using the time to shoot the romantic comedy Life As We Know It, directed by Greg Berlanti.

She’s not gone for good yet; her absence will be explained onscreen in a yet-to-be-determined way. Maybe the writers she so often badmouths will get their revenge and give Izzie a gross STD or something. Seattle Grace will be filled with new faces, as T.R. Knight got killed off in a car crash (I’m glad I don’t watch this show anymore) and series regular Ellen Pompeo will be on maternity leave around the same time Heigl is gone.

Nora Zehetner of Everwood and Heroes fame has been cast in a recurring role on the show. Same goes for Robert Baker (Valentine) and hottie Jesse Williams, who you might know from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Greek.  He’ll also be in the upcoming movies The Cabin in the Woods and Brooklyn’s Finest.
