Yesterday Jon Gosselin broke his silence on Good Morning America, giving his first solo TV interview in four years. Well, good news for those of you following this ridiculous media frenzy: more of that interview aired on Primetime last night in a segment called Family Secrets (you can watch the video here).
In addition to the juicy tidbits we already saw (including Jon saying he “despises” Kate), the longer interview features a bit of a softer, more reflective side of Jon. “I felt maybe I was too passionate,” he said. “Maybe I didn’t stand my ground ten years ago. Maybe I didn’t stick up for my kids. But it’s gone – I can’t get that back.” He showed some of his own photos and home videos of a simpler and happier time with Kate and the kids, saying that he started to cry when he looked through them.
He started to tear up a bit, saying “Maybe I should have kissed Mady and Cara more. It’s tough.” I’m not sure I buy this whole sensitive Jon persona…I feel like maybe he’s trying to look like a victim the way Kate has tried to make herself look like a victim. Maybe they’re both crazy, or at least both putting a show for the media. I guess I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
why are these people still being talked about? cancel the show and let them continue on with their lives. for the kids sakes if nothing else
