Advice for men: you don’t really have to be good looking (or young) if you’re absolutely hilarious. Amber Tamblyn, the cute and “edgy” (or, as edgy as you can be in a PG movie) actress from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is dating Arrested Development funnyman David Cross, according to the New York Daily News - and everyone’s over the effing moon about it.
He’s 45 and she’s 26, but apparently her mom and her friends approve of the unlikely match. At the New York City release party for Amber’s second book of poetry, “Bang Ditto,” her mom was overheard talking about how much she likes David. That’s a bit of a change from previous rumors that Amber’s mom was upset about David’s mention that he was ”f—-ing Amber Tamblyn” in his book I Drink For a Reason. Banging and drinking - they’re quite the literary couple.
Amber’s fellow Sisterhood stars America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel (aww, those pants must really work since they’re all still friends) were also seen laughing with David nearby while Amber greeted partygoers. The remaining sister, Blake Lively, sadly had to miss the party because she was working late on Gossip Girl, so she sent Penn Badgley in her place.
