Fun With Your Single Friends

It’s finally girls’ night – just you and your girlfriends dressed to kill and ready for your stilettos to hit the town.  The single ladies are ready to take their party to the dance floor and find a hot guy and the ones with a boyfriend or husband are just happy to be on a dance floor again.

Weekend nights can make it difficult to bridge the gap between you being the monogamous one in the mix with your single and seeking girls.  What are some things you can do with your single girlfriends when you’re taken that don’t involve hitting up the local meat market?

Here are some suggestions that don’t directly involve finding a guy (but number one could, so it may be good to start there).

1.  Make a Spa Date – Schedule time for you and your lady friends to get pampered.  If possible, schedule the spa time at a place you can all relax and chat while you’re being whisked away.  And if the massage therapist is hot, it’s an added bonus for all parties involved.

2.  Dance (in Boy’s Town) – Find your closest, most fun gay bar and make it a dance night there.  You don’t have to worry about being hit on and you can relish in the glory of men being jealous of your new shoes without trying to get in your pants.

3.  Schedule a Slumber Party – Ok, you don’t have to spend the night and freeze bras or have a pillow fight, but plan a night in.  Rent a few girly flicks, buy the bag of Oreo Cookies or Doritos you pretend to be grossed out by when you’re with your man, and enjoy a relaxing night with just the girls.

Making time for and fostering your relationships with your girlfriends can often fall to the wayside when things are hot and heavy with your significant other.  Spend time with your friends so you can stay grounded in important friendships that may last beyond your current relationship.
