He just gets a little too caught up in the moment and doesn't think ahead is what I think. Which isn't great, of course, and can lead to rude behavior from time to time (obviously). Then again, within the world of Pop Culture, is it really oh so bad to have some guy with a big ego make things interesting from time to time? Even if he is shooting himself in the foot in the process? Just some thoughts.
