It’s the first day of fall – or if you want to be creepy, it’s the Autumnal Equinox. So what are you going to do to celebrate?

You could buy advance tickets for opening night of Twilight: New Moon. According to CNN, 60 screenings of the movie (which features the new Death Cab For Cutie song “Meet Me on the Equinox” are already sold out).

You might also try balancing an egg on the ground. An old wives’ tale claims that the earth is balanced and equal on the equinox, but this is not supported by science; you have just as good of a chance balancing an egg on any other day of the year. (I’m about to write a strongly-worded letter to my fourth grade teacher.)

Eat some fall foods! Here’s a classic apple crisp recipe from Betty Crocker. Cinnamon donut holes and apple cider always make me think of fall, too.

If fashion’s more your thing, maybe it’s time to stock up on cuddly sweaters, scarves and jackets. Banana Republic has just added hundreds of styles to its new fall sale.

You might also set your DVR to record some of the new fall shows. CBS’s new drama The Good Wife with Julianna Marguiles premieres this Tuesday @ 10 pm, while ABC’s hilarious new comedy Modern Family hits the airwaves Wednesday @ 9 pm.

Fall's here? Someone tell the weather. I'm ready for this ninety-degree hell to be over.
