It’s been far too long since Whitney Houston has been the glamorous star she once was. I blame Bobby Brown. Now, the ultimate diva is back with a new album out now which hopefully means she’ll be back to her glamorous self! Here’s a look back at some of Whitney’s hottest and most memorable style moments from throughout her career.
1985

Debut album cover: This self-titled album is the one that started it all. I’d never seen this cover until now, but she looks stunning on the cover in a peach dress and slicked hair. It’s obvious she started her career as a model. And she can sing? Some girls have all the luck.
1986

American Music Awards: The diva emerges! Not only did she rack up 5 awards, but she showed she was a fashion star. With a wild mane of curls and a one-shoulder gown topped with extra large bow, Whitney was all smiles.
1992

The Bodyguard: The movie in which a superstar singer plays a superstar singer. Ok, so the role wasn’t a stretch for Whitney, but from start to finish she looked every bit the part of the glamorous diva she was at the time. From her characters’ leather stage gear, to her va-va-voom off-stage diva wardrobe, the movie was all about Whitney.
1999

“My Love is Your Love” tour: The costumes were designed by Dolce & Gabbana. Enough said.
2009

Grammy Awards: Whitney reemerges! In a strapless pink and blue gown, she proved she’s still got the look. And with her album in stores now, I’m sure we’ll all be assured that she’s still got the voice, as well.

I want to see a bio/pic timeline marking the downward spiral she took between 1999 and 2009. That's 10 years worth of crackhead Whitney to account for. good times.
