MTV’s “The City,” To Premiere…Does Anyone Care? (VIDEO)
Whitney Port started off as a friend of “LC” Conrad on MTV’s “The Hills,” and was always a bit of a wallflower who preferred to keep her personal life out of the spotlight.
And then, she got the chance to star in her own reality show, MTV’s “The City,” which was centered on her move to New York City and her dream to become a fashion designer. Last season, the show had a few interesting moments including the greasy but cute Jay and of course, Olivia Palermo, who was supposedly the inspiration behind the “Blair Waldorf,” character on CW’s “Gossip Girl.”
The show had wonderful scenic views of the Big Apple (Kudos to the Director of Photography), but alas, there was no Speidi to get gossip rags talking and spewing hateful words. So this season, MTV rallied up two new “Vixens,” Samantha and Roxy who will apparently add some spice and drama to the show. So a few questions…
1) Will Whitney Port stand up for herself in the workplace?
2) Will we ever see the softer side of Kelly Cutrone? (Of course not, but thought this was a funny question)
3) Will we see diversity in “The City,” considering it takes place in the most diverse city in the world? (Highly doubt it, but possibly)
4) Will the realities of the Recession be included in the series?
