Former political staffer Stacy Parker Aab is no Monica Lewinsky, but she claims in a new book that Bill Clinton hugged her and lingered a little too long.
According to the New York Daily News, the book is called Government Girl: Young and Female in the White House and it will be released by HarperCollins this January. In it, Stacy says that during a trip to Okinawa, Japan, for the G8 Summit in 2000, Clinton summoned the then 26-year-old to his hotel room, escorted her onto the balcony and gave her a hug that she says lasted a bit too long to be fatherly. As the only girl in a boys’ club, the young aide writes that she was terrified of where the hug might lead, but managed to hold it together as Clinton said he’d always admired her.
I’m sorry. I certainly believe that Clinton’s a bit skeezy, but a hug? Really? A hug gets you a book deal these days?
Apparently it was more than a hug with the other White House men, though. Stacy insists that Clinton’s friend and adviser Vernon Jordan kissed her twice while he was married. The two had dinner and as they were saying goodnight, he kissed her on the lips. She says that at a later date, he kissed her again and told her she should always wear pantyhose. The horror!

I agree: an alleged hug that went on too long? Probably true, and kind of a big deal (sexual harassment always is), but a book deal? Give me a break. And the added on: his friend kissed me once after dinner? Uhh, that's what usually happens at the end of a date. I mean, seriously? Then again, the publisher is HarperCollins, the prestigious publishing house behind Sarah Palin's new book. So there ya go.

Not for nothing, but I agree with the pantyhose request. She probably has awesome legs that are enhanced by the magic of pantyhose. I'd make the same request in my office if I could get away with it.
