Axe Falls on Newer SNL Cast Members…Too Fat and Too Funny?

In the world of comedy, is it possible to be too funny? How about too fat? According to reports, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels just might answer “yes” to both of those questions. SNL cast members Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson, who had only been with the show for one and two seasons, respectively, were told last week that they would not be returning to the show, and “too funny” and “too fat” are reportedly the reasons why.

Teri Hatcher, star of Desperate Housewives, competes in a triathlon, one of her lifelong goals. The 44-year-old actress announced her goal after her show’s parent company, Disney, asked her to lead a team in this year’s Nautica Malibu Triathlon which was held September 13th, to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Earlier this morning Taylor Swift appeared on “The View,” to discuss her career, the VMAs, and, of course, the now infamous Kanye incident. That is, when Kanye West interrupted Taylor’s Best Female Video Award acceptance speech to let the world know that, not Swift, but Beyonce deserved the award instead. Which, while this blogger might technically agree on, was beyond rude and a total jackass of a move. In other words, standard Kanye.

It’s Oprah official: Whitney Houston is back. She performed songs from her new album I Look to You on “Good Morning America” two weeks ago, marking her first television appearance in seven years. Yesterday’s “Oprah” featured the first half of a lengthy interview in which Whitney spoke about her music, her personal life, her drug addiction and her long absence from the spotlight.

“America’s Got Talent” Finals Tomorrow

I am getting old. The dew is off the daisy, man. I peruse my favorite guilty pleasure celebutard gossip blogs and see those tabloid stalwarts, Madonna, Brit Brit, the Cruise robots, the Pitt-Jolies or the Jolie-Pitts (depending on who is the focus on the photo). But in between these pillars of soothing dysfunction, my aging eyes fall upon some new squirrelly little faces. Who…who are these tiny, vaguely whorish ingenues? What exactly is it that they do?
