In the world of comedy, is it possible to be too funny? How about too fat? According to reports, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels just might answer “yes” to both of those questions. SNL cast members Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson, who had only been with the show for one and two seasons, respectively, were told last week that they would not be returning to the show, and “too funny” and “too fat” are reportedly the reasons why.

Kanye West’s douchebagery may just be the best thing that ever happened to Jay Leno. After stealing the mic from award winner Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, Kanye faced a backlash of criticism. He faced up to his actions on Jay Leno’s new show.

Teri Hatcher, star of Desperate Housewives, competes in a triathlon, one of her lifelong goals. The 44-year-old actress announced her goal after her show’s parent company, Disney, asked her to lead a team in this year’s Nautica Malibu Triathlon which was held September 13th, to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Exciting news, ladies. So maybe things didn’t work out for you and Prince William. Don’t worry – everyone’s favorite redheaded royal Prince Harry turns 25 today, which means that he is now entitled to the multi-million dollar inheritance left to him by his mother, the late Princess Diana.

Earlier this morning Taylor Swift appeared on “The View,” to discuss her career, the VMAs, and, of course, the now infamous Kanye incident. That is, when Kanye West interrupted Taylor’s Best Female Video Award acceptance speech to let the world know that, not Swift, but Beyonce deserved the award instead. Which, while this blogger might technically agree on, was beyond rude and a total jackass of a move. In other words, standard Kanye.

It’s Oprah official: Whitney Houston is back. She performed songs from her new album I Look to You on “Good Morning America” two weeks ago, marking her first television appearance in seven years. Yesterday’s “Oprah” featured the first half of a lengthy interview in which Whitney spoke about her music, her personal life, her drug addiction and her long absence from the spotlight.

Tomorrow night, your life will be different – because you will know the winner of this season of NBC’s America’s Got Talent. There are 10 contestants remaining on the show, most of whom are singers – including the Texas Tenors and the young inspirational group Voices of Glory. Viewers will vote for the winner, who will win a million dollar grand prize and also get the opportunity to headline a show in Las Vegas.

I am getting old. The dew is off the daisy, man. I peruse my favorite guilty pleasure celebutard gossip blogs and see those tabloid stalwarts, Madonna, Brit Brit, the Cruise robots, the Pitt-Jolies or the Jolie-Pitts (depending on who is the focus on the photo). But in between these pillars of soothing dysfunction, my aging eyes fall upon some new squirrelly little faces. Who…who are these tiny, vaguely whorish ingenues? What exactly is it that they do? And will I have to keep looking at them for a while?

Patrick Swayze, the beloved heart throb from Dirty Dancing and Ghost, has died of cancer at the age of 57. The actor had been battling pancreatic cancer since March of last year.

This can be a touchy subject.
