OMG. I. Seriously. Love. This. Show. “Vampire Diaries,” that is. It’s a romantic, coming-of-age throwback to the WB dramas of the late 90s, combining sweetness and sarcasm. “Vampire Diaries” is a little “Dawson’s” (but not as earnest), and a little “Buffy” (but not as mythological).

Oprah Winfrey will be kicking off her 24th season of her famed talk show on September 14th and here’s video of 21,000 of her fans dancing to Black Eyed Peas, “I Gotta Feeling,” at the show’s Premiere party.

If your employer catches your latest status update or tweet, it could cost you your job. The International Association of Athletics Federation is reviewing results of gender tests on South African runner Caster Semenya and will not issue its final decision until November. The IAAF would not confirm or deny Australian newspaper reports that Caster has male and female sexual organs.

Today Orange County Assemblyman Michael Duvall resigned from his position, not because he had an affair, but only because of his “inappropriate storytelling” and “choice of words”. In July during a pause in a Sacramento hearing, Duvall was caught on videotape proudly discussing two sexual conquests in great detail, neither of whom was his wife.
