Jon Gosselin is a force to be reckoned with. According to People Magazine, TLC shockingly dropped Jon from the show on Tuesday, renaming the reality show about his ex-wife and kids Kate Plus 8. “Given Jon’s recent antics, there was no way the show could continue to portray him as a doting Dad, not while all this other crap was going on,” a source told the mag.
Jon fought back. People also reports that he banned crews from entering his home and sent a cease-and-desist letter. I do understand wanting to get camera crews away from your kids, but it never bothered him before. It does seem a bit convenient that he had no problem with the show until he was kicked off.
TLC has officially suspended the show, but they’re not happy with Jon – and the battle’s not over yet. “We are aware of Jon Gosselin’s recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior,” TLC said in a statement. “He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin’s repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents.”
Jon will appear on Larry King Live tonight – maybe he can clear up all the drama.
