Jon Gosselin on Larry King: Show is “Not Healthy” For the Kids (VIDEO)

On the heels of his successful mission to shut down production of Kate Plus 8, Jon Gosselin appeared on Larry King Live last night and announced that he no longer thinks it’s healthy for his kids to be on a reality show, CNN reports.

“The reason I don’t think it’s healthy for them is that we’re going through a divorce right now, and I don’t think it should be televised and I think my kids should be taken off the show,” Gosselin said. ”They’re 5 and 8 now; let them experience a normal childhood.” Check out the video of his interview:

Though TLC is aching to get the show back on the air, Jon’s lawyer said it won’t happen because no judge would ever “subject the children to the show if the father believes it’s detrimental.” What do you guys think? I think Jon’s right that show will probably do more harm than good to those poor kids. But is Jon just mad because TLC ousted him from the show?

He does at least seem to share some of the blame for the media circus surrounding his family. “I had an epiphany one day,” he said. “I just looked in the mirror and I said, ‘I don’t want to be this person anymore.’ I made mistakes. I know I messed up. I do regret a lot of things. But I have to learn from those mistakes and move forward.”
