Usher’s Newest Single: “Papers”

As previously reported, Usher had planned to release his highly anticipated new single “Papers” today. And, don’t worry, he didn’t disappoint. Released earlier this afternoon, the first single off his new album, Raymond vs. Raymond (originally titled, Monster), can now be found all across the internet (check below).
First impression? Very, very good. Now I’ve long been a fan of Usher — great looks, better moves, and, oh!, what a voice! — but I had, admittedly, had some worries about this single. Not that his last album wasn’t great, it was, but, you know, it just wasn’t Confessions. This one, however, seems to be a return to that mindset. That is: it’s highly confessional.
The song, produced by Sean Garrett, is about his recent divorce from Tameka Foster Raymond, and doesn’t leave bare any details. The “papers”, after all, that the song is referring to are his divorce papers (ouch!). And that’s just the start. Listen below:

its ok i guess, i was ready to be blown away and i wasnt but i love usher, so i dont care, i didnt want him to put his buiness out in the street, but the beat could of been something more special, but cant wait for the album
i was sort of thinking the same the first time i listened, but after a few more times through, it really gets stuck in your head. really good
