Holly Hester – Dave Letterman’s Special Intern

Man, this Dave Letterman scandal is the gift that keeps on giving. Holly Hester, who interned on Late Night in the 90s, has recently joined Stephanie Birkitt in the category of Women Dave Letterman Has Slept With Who Aren’t His Wife. (By the way, Dave apologized to his wife, Regina Lasko, on the show last night. I wonder what CBS thinks about Dave turning the show into Group Therapy Hour.)

According to TMZ, Holly was a student at NYU when worked as an intern on the show. She said that during a hiatus, Dave called her up and asked out to the movies. The date was the first in a series of secret dates that the rest of the staff never found out about. She says, “I was madly in love with him at the time. I would have married him. He was hilarious.” (See, guys? Funny always wins.) Unfortunately for Holly, Dave ended the relationship after a year, saying that the age gap between them was just too large. Later in the 90s, he began romancing Stephanie Birkitt.

When Dave first revealed his philandering, he did not name names; he said it would be up to them if they wanted to come forward. Stephanie and Holly could be the first two of many. A top ten list, perhaps? I wonder what these women have to gain by all this. Media attention? Google searches? Would you really want to admit you slept with your un-single boss?
