What I’m about to say is going to be confusing and upsetting. Lindsay Lohan was actually given a job at a legendary French fashion label. Yes, someone actually sought out Lindsay Lohan (probably pulling her out of a club at 2am) to give her a position in which she has creative input over an entire clothing label.

Naturally, the girl is going to take the job so I can’t really blame Lindsay for this latest guffaw. I mean, the girl’s gotta buy cigarettes and Diet Coke. She’s not going to turn down a job when one comes her way. Who knows how many more there will be. Really, the blame should go to Mounir Moufarrige, the chief executive at Ungaro whose bonehead idea it was to hire the party girl as “artistic advisor” to the brand. I can’t even comprehend the logic behind his decision.

Honestly, I looked through the whole collection and it’s not that bad. It’s bright and colorful and young which is pretty much what Lindsay was hired for, to make the label more youthful. Sure, it’s not really high fashion, but neither is Lindsay Lohan. So, I’m not really sure what this guy Moufarrige was expecting. I’m pretty sure he just wanted to make a splash and get his name all over the fashion blogs. Well, mission accomplished. But at what cost?

Judging by the responses of buyers and editors at the show in Paris (at the Louvre, nonetheless), the cost is thousands of dollars in sales. People literally ran for the doors once the show was finished which means these clothes will probably never see store shelves. I think the thing that really pushed the fashion elite over the edge were the pasties. Pasties on the nipples of models at the Louvre, there’s irony in there somewhere.

Most upsetting to the general public is that a strung-out bar rat like Lindsay Lohan was able to get a job in this economy. What a slap in the face to the hard-working fashion folk who lost their jobs in the past months.

your comments stink do writers really think people like to read negative stuff all the time if you wrote positive readers would think posative about people she's only 23 give her a break i don't see any one else at that age even considered in that business plus the fashion world is hard to please if any one reads between the lines her review wasn't a total flop so say something nice it will make a better world!

There is nothing positive about Lindsay Lohan. She is a complete waste. Her show was the joke of the fashion industry and an unmitigated disaster.

Mrs. Jones - learn to spell and use punctuation; it makes for a much better presentation. The writer did give a positive response to the line - in it's youthful color and energy - so please read carefully before responding. What's with all the hearts and the bitty bra tops - looks like they allowed Lindsay a free hand with color crayons? Giving this girl any credence as a "designer" will only enhance her inability to come live in the real world.
