Halloween is right around the corner. If you and your significant other are still debating on what to dress up as, here are some costume ideas that might make your decision easier. This list includes costumes for the cheeky couple, the silly couple, the couple in an open relationship, gay couples, straight couples, and even for the couple on the verge of not being a couple much longer. There’s something for everyone. In no particular order, here are some of my favorite ideas for couples this Halloween:

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Nothing goes together better than PB&J. One person’s the peanut butter half and the other is the jelly. Think about it, it’s basically an excuse to smoosh yourselves together all night in order to demonstrate how your sandwich works.

President and Mrs. Obama

An obvious choice for this historic year.

Jon and Kate

If your partner suggests this costume for Halloween, you might soon be single. While Jon and Kate’s drama continues to be splashed all over the tabloids, they make for one funny costume. Easy, too. The guy just needs an Ed Hardy t-shirt and the girl just needs to be an overbearing shrew with bad hair. For some couples, this might hit a little too close to home.

Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie

An oldie but a goodie in honor of the late King of Pop.

Ventriloquist and dummy

There’s always a dominant person in a relationship. Why not poke fun of this relationship truth with this costume?

Hugh Hefner and Playboy Bunnies

If you’re in an open relationship with a guy, have him invite his other ladies along to complete this costume. He’ll wear a robe and you and the other bunnies will just hop around him.

Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone

Dress in your finest polyester news anchor getups to portray this hilarious film couple. And it’s a great excuse to quote the movie all night long. Sounds like heaven. Stay classy.

Speidi (Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt)

Only dress as these two media leeches if you can stand the abuse you will endure. The guy will need to start on his costume now. It will take several weeks to grow Spencer’s creepy flesh-colored beard.

Don and Betty Draper

You will be the sexiest couple at any party if you go as this Mad Men duo.

Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell

The sexual tension between these two on American Idol is almost unbearable. So if you’ve got someone in your life you’ve been lusting after, this might be a good suggestion. Just make sure if he’s going to be Simon that he has a full bushel of chest hair.

Plug and socket

Dressing in this getup will be the equivalent of an entire night of foreplay making all kinds of jokes related to plugging into someone’s socket. Typical Halloween fun for the rowdy couple.

Chelsea Handler and Chuy

This late-night duo would make for the cutest couple. If you’re Chelsea, you get a free pass to get sloshed on vodka all night long. Just make sure you have plenty of adorable nicknames for your little sidekick, Chuy.

Kelly Kapowski and Zack Morris

If you’re still with your high school sweetheart, here’s the costume for you. And it’s never been more appropriate, what with the cast reunion on the cover of People magazine and Mark Paul Gossler’s Zack attack on Jimmy Fallon a while back.
