They grow up so fast, don’t they? Kids, I mean. One minute they’re running around in pigtails and sundresses and playing tag and hopscotch with the other neighborhood children. The next, they’re posing on the red carpet in knee-high lace-up boots, red lipstick and a black mini dress. And by they, I’m talking about 9-year-old Noah Cyrus, little sister of Miley.
Yes, I feel like a jerk for criticizing a child’s Halloween costume. But, it wasn’t me who let her walk out of the house looking like that. And, it wasn’t me who allowed her to go to a flashy Hollywood event and be photographed by the paparazzi. So, in my book, it’s fair game.
What on earth were her parents thinking allowing their daughter to dress like that?
I am shocked. I get that things operate a little differently in Hollywood and kids grow up fast and have access to anything they want with less rules. But I can’t believe this little girl is wearing such a vulgar costume.
And apparently, this isn’t the only costume controversy surrounding Noah Cyrus. The next day the young girl was photographed wearing another questionable outfit. I don’t find her Minnie mouse-inspired outfit as appalling as the witch costume, but it’s the re-appearance of thigh-high boots that troubles me. Why? Why is it necessary for her to pair each of her costumes with slutty stripper boots. It is so wrong for such a young girl to be wearing boots like those. What is so wrong with just dressing up as Minnie Mouse and not “slutty Minnie.” Or as a witch, and not ”slutty witch.”
I wish the innocence of childhood lasted just a little bit longer. At least until age 10.

I feel that it's Mileys fault. Really, I have a little sister, and i go through so many phases of dress. Sluty, Goth, Preppy, Everything, And She looks up to me as a role model. She's 8, i'm 17, that's pretty close to the same Age range as Noah and Miley. Carly looks up to me, she dresses the same way i dress. Has ANYBODY seen the way Miley dresses? Really, she may be 16, but she has fans that are only about 3, and who look up to her. She shouldn't dress the way she does JUST because most other teens do.Noah looks up to Miley, and If she thinks that "Oh well, If Miley dresses this way, I can to." Or "Wow, i don't have alot of friends, And Miley does, Maybe if I act like her, then i'll have TONS of friends to!" well, it's wrong. But i do agree with most people, It IS only 1 night a year, and Kids ARE supposed to have fun on Halloween, So who CARES? it's not like she dresses this way EVERY day. when i was 9, my parents didn't care. My dad was mad for a while, but Mom said "Honey, it's 1 night, we'll be with her the ENTIRE TIME, Let the kid have some fun" And That's fine, it's not like she's sitting in the living room with her parents watching TV and smoking pot. Leave the kid alone! She can wear what she wants when she wants BECAUSE she wants to wear it! NOBODY likes it when people talk about what theyre wearing negativly. you know, the kids ONLY 9, She probably cried when she heared just what some people think about her family for this! i don't like Miley Cyrus OR her music, but this is REALLY mean guys. 1 night, it's NOT crack, so just be nice!

that dress is real short... and i don't think she should wear that much make up, she seems to wear make up everyday! i think the minnie mouse dress looks worse though, i'm 17 and i'd look slutty in it, but she's 9! and I can't beleive they make those boots in kids sizes.

why? same reason you posted a picture of her in your blog post -- it gets you noticed. and getting noticed (i.e. publicity) equals money, at least in the world of Cyrus. and since when are we surprised the Cyrus's will do anything to turn a buck? i expect much worse down the line.

I thought it was a middle-aged trannie with a swollen head, you know like one of those genetic disorders. That's how far my mind went to avoid the reality that it's a child so young dressed like that. There's no doubt in my mind that her Guardian(s) and siblings over 18 should do a week in prison for that.

Hollywood: There was a time when people choose to be in the entertainment industry, there was a certain respectability about it. There's an entirely new spin there now. When Billy Ray and his wife use to live in a trailer, and should one of their neighbors get pregnant without benefit of marriage, they were called a whore. The child would be labeled a bastard. Today, the pregnant actress, singer, etc. is said to have a 'baby bump'! WTF! The women are still whore's and the babies are still bastard's. No matter, the spin!
