Joe Halderman Lived with Letterman’s Former Assistant, Stephanie Birkitt

Last night, David Letterman revealed that he was a victim of an extortion plot over his admitted sexual affairs with coworkers, including his former assistant Stephanie Birkitt. Now, the alleged extortionist has been revealed: it’s 51 year-old Robert “Joe” Halderman from Connecticut, a producer for the CBS news show 48 Hours.

Jon Gosselin is a force to be reckoned with. TLC shockingly dropped Jon from the show on Tuesday, renaming the reality show about his ex-wife and kids Kate Plus 8. So Jon fired back, sending a cease-and-desist letter and banning crews from entering his home. TLC has suspended the show, but claims that he is under an exclusive contract.
