As I write this I am watching a new episode of Project Runway: Season 6. The challenge is to design a Bob Mackie-esque stage cosutme for Christina Aguilera. You’d expect the designers to go wild: bright colors, fringe, sequins, feathers, maybe a beaded headpiece. Nope. Instead, they all sent unimaginative black and/or silver sequin gowns down the runway. I am now more resolute than ever in my belief that Project Runway has lost more than a little bit of its luster. In fact, it’s downright boring.
