VH1’s new show Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew might sound scandalous, but it’s actually pretty clinical. Premiering last night, the series follows a group of sex addicts as the famed doctor helps them overcome their addictions with a 21-day treatment. The ground rules: no masturbation, no seductive behavior, and of course, no sex.
Kendra Jade Rossi, a model/dancer who was sexually abused starting at age 2, had a particularly hard time adapting to the rehab environment. Take a look at the video:
According to the show’s website, Kendra moved to Southern California in her early 20s and quickly became an adult film superstar. She also became a tabloid star and used her porn fame to get into feature dancing — but at the same time fell into a cycle of heavy drinking. Kendra left porn eight years ago and married Rockstar Supernova frontman Lukas Rossi. She now manages his career and runs an animal rescue. Kendra’s on the show to make sure she can stay faithful in her marriage, since she has previously cheated on every man she’s ever dated. “If I f— this up, it’s going to be the worst thing I’ve ever done in my life,” she said.
Other cast members include Jennifer Ketcham (aka Penny Flame), another porn star, professional surfer James Lovett, model Nicole Narain, former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche, producer/director Duncan Roy, actress/model Amber Smith and Skid Row rocker Phil Varone.
