Even with women, the fangirls still demand proof of status and het. For example, that rumor that he dated Rumer Willis. That was a couple of years ago and the fangirls are still harping over that one. Pics recently surfaced of them going to a party together around the same time the rumor started, and the **** hit the fan yet again. My point, fangirls want him with either themselves or fantasy lives they’ve made up in their heads. While there are some gay men who look at ZQ as sexy and fantasize about him, I would argue that most gay men who think he is gay are more of the feeling that they wish him to come out, not to add more fuel to fantasies but to further drive home the point that an openly gay man can be a hot commodity and have an extremely successful career in Hollywood. The problem with that is not everyone is cut out to be a role model or trail blazing pioneer on human and civil rights. It takes an extremely strong individual to risk fame, fortune and possible loss of family and friends. I know SEVERAL extremely handsome men with beautiful wives or girlfriends who actually prefer men sexually. When asked why they’re in the closet, the answer is usually fear of losing family, friends and/or their job. Now take that theme of fear and loss and shift it from an every day guy with an every day job in middle America to a person whose career success is based upon acceptance by the masses.

The truth of the matter is that if all of the guys you mentioned ZQ is alleged to be involved with were women, no demand for proof of his straightness or even of the relationships, would be necessary. It would be looked at as him being a hot, young, single man in Hollywood, enjoying his wave of popularity. Hi fives all around. But because of the gay thing…refer to my opening sentence in this email.

While I don’t think it’s healthy for people to live their lives hiding in the closet, given the atmosphere, I definitely understand it.

It’s not negative, I said it because it’s the truth. I honestly don’t see the difference between them and the fangirls who dream about him being straight because they think they have a chance with him. A fangirl is a fangirl, no matter if she has to live through someone else to live out her fantasy. There is a difference between fantasizing about someone and making it fit that fantasy than making a public statement about the sexuality of the same person on the internet and try to pass it off as truth. I mean people act like being gay is like being the last unicorn, and that it’s somewhat unique so they make a big deal about it. When it’s not that big of a deal. Being gay is not shameful, but what is shameful is trying to out someone who isn’t out and that is what they say about Quinto on most of the websites I have seen. No proof that he’s gay, just “oh lookie he’s so obviously gay let’s gawk at him”. Ridiculous.

For example of how ridiculous all of this has gotten, fangirls thought he was involved with that photographer Tyler Shields, until they found out Tyler is straight and has a pretty blond girlfriend. And they only thought he was Zach’s bf because Tyler had gone to some events with Zach and had gone to the set of Heroes. No proof, just assumption. Now apparently his current paramour is Colton Haynes only because he went to a concert with him, oh and then there’s Matt Bomer who went to school with him, and then of course his regular lay, Chris Pine, Capt Kirk himself. Oh that Quinto, what a whore, because he’s apparently doing them all. Where does he find the time? But that’s okay, all of this talk is just talk and it never filters over to websites like this as fact. Not.
