Hurry, make a pun about “National Treasure” because Nicolas Cage is broke. People Magazine reports that the 45-year-old actor owes $6.3 million in back taxes — and he’s blaming his financial adviser.
Cage filed a lawsuit on October 16, claiming that his longtime business manager, Samuel J. Levin, “lined his [own] pockets with several million dollars in business management fees while sending Cage down a path toward financial ruin.” Cage says he “relied on Levin to handle his financial affairs to ensure that he and his family would have a financially secure future built on the foundation of the substantial monies Cage earned through years of hard work.” However, he “is now forced to sell major assets and investments at a significant loss and is faced with huge tax liabilities because of Levin’s incompetence, misrepresentations and recklessness.”
Though Cage claims that he only recently learned how deep of sh-t he was in, the star started selling off some of his prized possessions months ago. In April, Cage sold his Bavarian castle to his German adviser, lawyer Konrad Wilfurth. (He had a Bavarian castle? And a German advisor? Yeesh.)
Now, Cage is selling homes in California, Las Vegas and New Orleans, where two of his residences –- each worth around $3.5 million -– are up for auction Nov. 12. If only I had a spare $3.5 mil, you know?
The funny thing is – Cage could easily make $6.3 million with one movie…

Nicholas should just donate ONE of his New Orleans place to me and the IRS will give him a tax break. I want to move back there but can't. so please Nikcholas just give to charity ME and the IRS will give you a break opn your taxes. God Bless you...

While I'm not usually one to side with the super-wealthy with regard to losing a little bit of money (oh, poor you!), it does seem his adviser fucked something up. I mean, isn't that what you pay one of those guys to do -- to keep you from financial ruin, and help you save for the future? You know, be smart with your money? Guy is either incompetent or a weasel. Or maybe Cage ignored all his advice and is to blame for his own problems. That sounds plausible too. "Uhh, I'm Nicholas Cage. I solve problems of national significance with the snap of a finger. Don't tell me what to do with my money!" or something

Seems to me that no matter how much Mr. Cage looses, he's still better off than most of us. I was laid off 10 months ago, forced to move into one bed- room in my deceased parents house, and paying $500.00 for it. Oh, and the landlord is my own brother. And I share it with my two teenage sons. Maybe if Mr. Cage would help out people like me,or my teenage son who wants to go to college (but can't afford it), he wouldn't be loosing so much of his material possessions. I have always loved his movies, his 'acting' but I can't say I feel sorry for him loosing a castle or two islands...

I can only state on thing regardless who we are... if we do not know or accept Jesus Christ as our ONLY Lord and Savior... and if we die with our sins, we will end up in hell as you read in Luke 16:19-31... What ever you think concerning other people, just pray and give them up to Jesus... He will show them to see the truth and the truth will set you/them free... But, if they do not want this truth, then as you read in Luke 16: is where all will end up~ So don't worry concerning your life as it is today... Just allow Jesus to emply His Spirit within your heart... and you then will see His truth, and His truth will set you FREE..!
