Dermalogica is one of the larger, more recognizable skin care lines out there today. I’ve always liked their products and was lucky enough to attend training classes at their L.A. education center a few years back. The founders of the International Dermal Institute realized that no product lines embraced their belief of skin health as opposed to “beauty,” so they developed their own, launching Dermalogica in 1986. Since then, Dermalogica has built a reputation for consistent, affordable, no frills skincare and is used in spas and salons nationwide.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a really unique exfoliant. I don’t know of any other product like it. It’s a rice bran based dry powder that is mixed with water in your palm before you scrub. There is also Salicylic Acid, and for fine lines and wrinkles Green Tea to promote cell renewal. What’s great about this exfoliant is that you can control the amount of granules you use every time. Whether you need a little exfoliation or a lot you can use just the right amount you need. The result is lighter, brighter skin, and when used over time, it can make pores appear smaller.

One thing to remember, do not store it in the shower, Daily Microfoliant is a dry powder and if you get water in the container you will ruin it. As long as you keep it dry it should last you a relatively long time. I also like this when I travel because if it spills it’s really easy to clean up, just brush it away. Plus, it’s not a liquid!
