If you feel you missed too many workouts in a row, the guide says you can extend the phase by a 1-2 weeks. I you just miss a day, than just pick it up the next day, or make it up on your normal off day.

Great review. In particular, I'm pleased by the turn around on Yoga. It is such an important part of the P90X system. We like to say that Yoga X is the key that unlocks P90X. So many people don't do the yoga program and they are really missing out. Last Winter we went to a yoga camp with Tony Horton and interviewed him about yoga and its importance. Here's what he had to say. http://bit.ly/3xjzdF It is really a funny interview, but Tony is a huge yoga advocate and really does believe that it is the Fountain of Youth. Keep bringing it. Great article.

Brad- are you a coach, lol? I barely have time to go on the website myself, let alone coach other people. I think its awesome there is that option, though. I think P90X is a lot like crossfit that if forms a little community, and to be able to talk to people that have done it/are going through it at the same time (that makes it sound like a life threatening disease) is a great attribute of the program

I would pick up where you left off. While it is a 90 day program life does happen from time to time. You want to make sure you do all the workouts in a row.

Are you a Beachbody Coach? I did not see on here that you were. Go to www.BeachBodyCoach.com/wrkoutjorney and Click on Coach. Its a way to get discounts on products and earn money while working out.

Keep it up with P90X!

mj- ill answer your question next post so everyone can benefit from it

nancy- i didnt miss a whole week, i missed 3 days, so on a program with 6 days on, 1 day off it would throw off my rest/recovery ratio. But still, I had no idea what I was supposed to because the program doesnt tell you (that Ive been able to find), so I just skipped. If you would do an extra week, more power to you, you'd be a machine!

Gina- Im halfway through recovery week right now, and yeah, its pretty much different workouts. I want extra rest DAYS, lol, but I still love it!

Ohhh...don't get super excited about recovery week! It's not what it sounds like...you are still gonna work your butt off. Tony's idea of "recovery" is SO not the same as mine! LOL. You are doing a great job! Keep up the strong work. There is joy in the journey (besides the pain, i mean). P90X ROCKS!!!

Just a comment, Personally if i were to miss a week from being out sick, I'd repeat the week I last completed, then continue on as if nothing happened. I know someone who said she's been doing this program so I was just looking for info on it, not that her arms aren't convincing enough. Your review is compelling, I'll definitely consider this.

Are you using any supplemental equipment?(e.g. floor mat, exercise ball, etc)
or
just using the free weights/resistance bands and pull up bar?
