3 Seconds to a Flatter Stomach

118266_7462There’s no better time for advice on having a flatter stomach than right before one of the biggest eating and dessert-binging days of the year. Thanksgiving is coming up fast, and not only are we all at risk for developing a sudden small pooch around the midsection after a massive meal of turkey and stuffing, but ’tis the season of holiday parties and other events where you’re probably going to want to look especially good. Fortunately, you still can. Here are three ways to have a flatter stomach in three seconds or less (hint: it’s all about posture):

Roll Back Your Shoulders

Hunching over makes your stomach stick out, and whether it’s flabby or flat you’ll have a nasty silhouette. Roll your shoulders back and down and you’ll instantly look taller and slimmer.

Suck in Your Gut

Pull your abs in and up and you’ll not only look better instantly but you’ll strengthen your core over time and naturally have a more permanently flattering silhouette.

Tuck in Your Butt

Arching your back pushes your stomach out even further than normal. Tuck your butt in and maintain good posture while doing it by pretending there’s a string pulling up through your body from the top of your head. You’ll look pounds thinner in mere seconds.
