When Ed Hardy first started his clothing line many years ago, it was cool. My husband and I had no problem shelling out $130 for a nice t-shirt that we bought at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas.

Now, you can find his art on every shameful trinket from key chains to cheap lighters.

What happened to Ed Hardy? And is it his fault? Did he sign a bad contract?

I think I’ll make this my next story on my blog for Artists – titled “Why Ed Hardy has whored his art out.” Something like that….
