First comes Thanksgiving. Then comes Black Friday, the shopping day to end all shopping days. Doors will open early and the crowds will be big! So, if you’re brave enough to face the masses at the malls, good luck to you. My suggestion is to skip the chaos and stay home. The best deals are online. And there’s no risk of getting into a fist fight over the last sweater. Forget Cyber Monday, let’s make it Cyber Black Friday.
Don’t risk your sanity, go online first! Most retailers with both online and brick-and-mortar stores offer great deals on their websites. Deals like free shipping and added discounts make it an ideal option to avoid the crowds. J.Crew has some of the best deals of any retailer. Currently they are offering both free shipping and an extra 20% off all sale merchandise. Macy’s offers printable coupons on their website that you can use in store. And, Gap is offering online only deals such as 50% off all sweaters. Gap’s sister store Banana Republic is offering 30% off all sweaters, online only. Nordstrom is also offering free shipping on orders of $100 or more. JCPenney does them one better by offering free shipping on orders as low as $25. Victoria’s Secret offers free shipping on any order in the U.S. And, American Eagle Outfitters ships all orders for free and gives you an extra 25% off. Bath and Body Works has hundreds of items on sale online that would be perfect as stocking stuffers or gifts. Designer E-tailer, chickdowntown.com, is offering 40% off for the next 36 hours! If you’ve got a designer diva in your family, this might be a good place to look for the perfect gift!
Big Department Stores, Big Deals: If you’re brave enough to hit the shops, department stores are usually the big deal makers on Black Friday. And they’re the best places to shop for multiple people. Next to the Internet, they are the best placest to get all your shopping done in one stop. But, don’t leave home without checking the Web first.
Go forth and shop! Happy Holidays!

Another great online resource i've found is ZingSale.com -- You can make a list of gifts you want to buy for your family (or yourself!), and you will automatically get an email alert whenever anything on your shopping list goes on sale. http://www.zingsale.com

Black Friday will be a shade of gray this year. Did we already forget that nobody has any money! Once again American's are ramping up to get into more debt, buying things we can't afford. Isn't it bad enough that all of our homes and cars have been repossessed (repofinder.com)? I guess if you aren't making your house payment anymore you can buy that big screen TV. I just hope we haven't forgotten what Christmas is all about my friends.
