Apparently not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving by stuffing their face with carbs, watching “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and passing out by 10 o’clock. (No? Just me?) According to The Huffington Post, many celebs dressed up in their usual designer duds for the great turkey day and celebrated the reopening of the La Mamounia hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco.
The guest list included Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek, Juliette Binoche, Orlando Bloom and Adrien Brody — and they all looked pretty fab. Do you think the ladies got to eat anything? I don’t know if the gowns and spanx allow much tummy expansion. In part, it’s kind of sad, you can’t turn off the celebrity and eat a normal meal with your family ONE day of the year? Although I guess if you didn’t grow up in the United States, Thanksgiving isn’t really part of your tradition.
According to People, Lindsay Lohan spent turkey day up in Long Island with her family, where she’s responsible for making garlic mashed potatoes. So to all you celebs who got glammed up and went to Morocco, I must ask, are you comfortable being less normal than Lindsay Lohan?
At least they’re not like Mackenzie Phillips, who got uninvited from Thanksgiving dinner after her tell-all book caused a rift between her and her family.
