Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, has gotten boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, to put a ring on it.
According to CBS News, the 29-year-old met hunkalicious Marc when she was a teenager growing up in Washington, D.C., and got closer when the two attended Stanford University together. (Maybe there was some truth to that silly movie “My Date with the President’s Daughter”!) And they’re a good match too. He understands her political upbringing, and experience with parental scandal. After all, Marc is the son of former Pennsylvania Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky and former Iowa Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, the latter of whom pleaded guilty in 2002 to swindling dozens of investors out of $10 million after getting caught up in a Nigerian scam. Interestingly, his mother lost her seat in a conservative congressional district after one term, in part, because she chose to vote for President Clinton’s health care reform.
Marc now works as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. Chelsea is currently attending graduate school at Columbia University’s School of Public Health. Rumors swirled last summer that the couple would marry in August, but they turned out to be false. As it turns out, they’re planning to get married next summer.
