Taylor Lautner’s SNL Monologue All About Taylor Swift (VIDEO)
Since the release of “New Moon,” Taylor Lautner has begun to steal a bit of the spotlight from Robert Pattinson. The famously sculpted 17-year-old hosted “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend, and you better believe he talked about Taylor Swift. Check out the video:
“I remember when SNL first started. I was negative 18 at the time,” he joked. He also addressed the ongoing rumors that he might be romantically linked to country-pop star Taylor Swift, saying that “Reba and I are just friends.” (Kenan Thompson winked at him from the audience, wearing a red wig.) It was cute, but not quite as memorable as the kiss Taylor Swift blew him when she hosted SNL back in November. Taylor (Lautner) added, “with benefits, of course,” keeping things murky as usual.
Then he seemed to get a bit more serious, saying, “I’ve also become close with a singer named Taylor Swift.” He pointed out that he was actually on stage when Kanye West infamously jumped up and interrupted her speech, looking awkward and helpless as he stood in the background. To make up for it on “SNL,” Taylor L took off his leather jacket, did a backflip and started intervening with two mannequins.
It was a cute little segment, but aren’t we all a bit sick of the Kanye/Taylor S thing? I’m also starting to fear that Taylor L might not have much of a personality if his monologue was entirely about someone else!
