‘Tis the season, which means spending time with loved ones, wondering how you avoid nosy questions from annoying family members, and, of course, eating! Well, why not add some delicious superfoods to your holiday festivities with products from Navitas Naturals, a company started by Zach Adelman in 2003 when he started importing the superfood, maca root powder, to the USA. Since he began his quest to search the world for functional foods that have been used by traditional cultures for both medicine and nourishment, the company has grown by leaps and bounds. They now sell everything from the Himalayn superfruit goji berries, to delicious and nutritious coconut oil.
And for this week’s giveaway, we’re giving away: two prize baskets filled with delicious Navitas Natural Superfoods!
First Basket contains a 15.5 oz jar of Coconut Oil, an Organic Chocolate Superfoods Kit-Goji Berries, and a 4 oz bag of Cacao nibs.
Coconut oil is cholesterol-free source of healthy plant-based saturated fats featuring medium chain fatty acids (MFCAs), and especially lauric acid. Among the many benefits of MFCAs are long-lasting energy, increased metabolic rates, as well as anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal activity. Coconut oil may also be used topically to beautifully rejuvenate skin and hair.
This Organic Chocolate Superfoods Kit contains a blend with goji berries: a synergistic combination of exciting power ingredients that’s packed with antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins, essential minerals, and is sugar and dairy free. YUP! Dairy free.
Cacao Nibs. If you haven’t heard, cacao has a ridiculous amount of antioxidants, and trace minerals like magnesium and iron, you can feel good in every way about enjoying this chocolatey superfood.
Second Basket contains an 8 oz. bag of Palm Sugar, a Superfood Chocolate Kit, and a 4 oz. bag of Cacao nibs
Navitas Naturals palm sugar is naturally very low on the Glycemic Index (GI35) -– half the GI of cane sugar. It serves as an ideal sugar substitute for those watching glucose levels (such as diabetics), or those monitoring lipid levels and looking for weight control. This organic, evaporated palm sugar has a nutritional content far greater than all other commercially available sweeteners — with high amounts of potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron, as well as Vitamin C and many of the B Vitamins.

I love Superfoods. My mom owns a healthfood store so I often get to try the sample that her distributors leave. So far I've decided that Chia seeds are definitely a gift from the Gods and made them a regular part of my diet. I'd love a chance to give Navitas Cacao another longer whirl.
