Francis Bean Gets Restraining Order Against Mom Courtney Love
My heart goes out to Francis Bean Cobain, the daughter of the Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. A few days ago, Courtney lost legal control of her daughter, and the guardianship of the 17 year-old was granted to Wendy O’Connor, Kurt Cobain’s mother, and Kimberly Dawn Cobain (Kurt’s sister). Now, according to TMZ, a judge has issued a restraining order against Courtney Love, prohibiting her from having any direct or indirect contact with her daughter.
The temporary restraining order was signed under seal, and a hearing to make it permanent is set for January 5. Could you imagine having to get a restraining order against your own mother? It’s so sad. At least Francis will be a legal adult in a year and won’t get bounced around anymore…but something tells me that Courtney has already instilled a lifetime of issues in the girl. Her guardianship of Francis was taken away after a long period of instability, sources say.
Francis is the late Nirvana singer’s only daughter, and she has mostly stayed out of the spotlight, except for some appearances in Elle, Teen Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Maybe now that she’s cut ties with the infamous Courtney, she’ll be able to try living a somewhat normal life.
