Jessica Simpson Says Tiger Woods Rumors are a “LIE!”
Amen! There is at least ONE woman on earth who denies hooking up with Tiger Woods: Jessica Simpson. According to People magazine, 29 year-old Jessica responded to a new Star magazine cover story featuring her and the golfer with the following Tweet: “Can’t believe that I’m on the cover of star magazine with Tiger Woods, what a JOKE! ‘The Shocking Inside Story’ is (insert drumroll) A LIE!”
According to the Star magazine report, the two exchanged e-mails and phone numbers after hanging out at the AT&T National Pro-Am golf tournament in Bethesda, Maryland, in July. Tiger was golf partners with Tony Romo, who broke up with Jessica later that month. Do you really think Jessica would flirt with Tiger when her boyfriend was right there? Come on.
Don’t be offended, Tiger. (First off, how many alleged mistresses have come forward now? Fifteen?) But also, Kenny Chesney has shot down similar rumors of a flirtation with Jessica that supposedly happened around the same time. Besides, I think Jessica is done with athletes: her newest beau is Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan.
Tiger was obviously able to keep his indiscretions under wraps for a long time…I doubt he’d hook up with another celeb for fear of the paparazzi finding out.
