Yes! Sienna Miller has been caught red-handed…no, not with someone else’s bloke, but defending normal-sized and plus-sized women everywhere!

In a recent interview with New York Magazine, the model and actor said, “I sincerely believe that that’s more beautiful than someone who is poker-thin. I really do.” She later added, “I would love to have boobs to go with my hips, but I don’t. That’s just not the way the cookie crumbled.”

Sienna Miller is often credited with being one of the forerunners of the boho chic look of a few years back, and was recently awarded Elle Magazine’s Fashion Icon of 2009 award. She also has her own fashion line with her sister Savannah, backed by Carlos Ortega of Pepe Jeans.

Nevertheless, a perfunctory perusal of her fashion website yields no photos of full-figured women, which leads me to ask you all: Is it more important for her to simply SAY these kinds of things in our hyper ADD-addled media climate so that young women ingesting high levels of celebrity interviews and gossip get to hear them? Or, is it more important that she SHOW she believes this by advocating realistically-sized women for her fashion line?

Discuss!

no one cares what a fashion model says, they care what they look like. and until they start to look different, in any way, people's attitudes & relationships to models will be exactly the same.
