Are Frownies the Answer to Wrinkle Free Skin?

As far as I can remember, my dad has had what we call “The Crease” let me explain… “The Crease” is a deep vertical behemoth of a wrinkle that runs vertically from the inner edge of my dad’s right eyebrow to the middle of his forehead giving him a near constant look of anger. He swears “The Crease” has even infiltrated the bone underneath and is now a permanent part of his skeleton. His reason for that is years of disciplining his kids, but since I was a perfect child I have no idea why he’s putting the blame on me.
As I am getting older, I’m happy that I look so much like my mother as she is aging beautifully, but my dad had to go and give his contribution too and he gave me, you guessed it, The Crease Jr. (my brother was blessed with Crease the III). I am constantly worrying about it and manically smoothing my forehead hoping to rub Crease Jr. off my face by sheer will alone. On top of all of that, my husband told me recently that I frown in my sleep all the time. I was horrified to discover that all of my efforts to stop Crease Jr. were in vain. I was being betrayed by my own sleep cycles.
So, I’ve decided to try Frownies. What are Frownies you ask? Well, let me borrow from the website:
A wrinkle treatment that addresses the physical cause of deep lines and wrinkles in the skin, Frownies are facial pads made from natural, skin-friendly materials. Frownies are applied to the forehead winkles between the eyes and across the forehead as well as the crows feet at the corners of the eyes and mouth to gently re-educate the underlying muscles to assume their correct, relaxed and natural appearance. Frownies, traditional patch works at night to eliminate skin wrinkles in fact, allow the deep expression lines to heal leaving younger, relaxed-looking skin.
Still confused, well they are sticky pads that come in various shapes to conform to whatever part of the face you want to apply them to. The idea is that applied between the eyebrows at night will prevent me from frowning in my sleep and thus, stop Crease Jr. in it’s tracks. So how do they work: You apply them at night on clean dry skin, allowing your moisturizer to absorb first. After you remove the backing you lightly wet the shiny, sticky side and apply it to the area you want as you pull the skin taut to smooth out the wrinkle. Leave on overnight. To remove them you just need water so I remove it in the shower and it comes right off.
So far, I’ve been using them for a week and aside from the fact that it feels funny on my forehead and I look like an idiot I can already see a difference in my forehead. Even if it’s only that when I wake up in the morning I don’t have Crease Jr. mocking me in my reflection. It still comes back during the day but maybe it’s just me but I think it’s not so noticeable anymore.
I wish that I had started using them earlier since I’ve know about Frownies for years. I’m definitely going to keep using Frownies it’s almost like the poor woman’s botox. I mean it can’t hurt, right?
