The packaging of the Organic Apoteke Rejuvenating Face Mask is really intriguing. On the top of the box is a tag line that informs you, “I’m active, I might make you blush.” I love active masks that you can feel really working on the skin, so I was super excited to try this mask.

The mask is applied heavily to clean skin for 15-20 minutes once a week. With regular use, this mask claims to minimize fine lines and increase collagen and elastin production and detoxify the skin.
The consistency of this mask is more gel than cream and I felt that I had to use a lot of it to really cover my face. It does have a distinctive scent that I’m still not sure that I like. It isn’t unbearable, but it is strange. As for the active ingredients, the pamphlet does say that you may not feel anything and that every skin reacts differently. Apparently I’m one of those skin types because I didn’t feel a thing. I was so bummed waiting for the skin tingle I love that just didn’t happen. After rinsing it off, I did notice a difference in my skin, the tone was even and my pores looked really small…for about two hours. After that, I looked the same as I always look without makeup: oily and uneven. Oh well, I’m sure if I used it once a week I would see some more lasting results, but I wasn’t impressed enough. The smell is just a little off and it didn’t give me enough of a “wow” factor to make it worth my while.
