Just when I thought we could take a break from talking about the Twilight saga for a while, the vampires and werewolves are back — on paper, at least. According to The Dish Rag, a PDF of the script for the upcoming movie Eclipse has been leaked onto the Internet, and it’s perfectly clear that the copy belonged to Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper.
Maybe he didn’t know that that’s why we use watermarks? Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, though. He could have thrown it into a trash can (that’s how a St. Louis hairdresser found a New Moon script a few years back). Also, even though his name is on it, the script likely passed through the hands of several assistants who could be to blame (and probably will get blamed whether they screwed up or not!).
Studios are often protective when it comes to scripts, but it’s pretty silly to get upset about leaking a script based on a book that has already been published. If we want to find out what happens, we can just read the book! If anything, this is just more publicity for Eclipse. You know that any Twi-hard who ravenously reads the script is still going to go see the movie.
