That Kate Gosselin spiky wig you wore on Halloween might become a collector’s item. According to USA Today, the newly-divorced octomom is taking on 2010 with new hair: and I have to admit, the long blond locks look good on her!
“Short hair was easy,” she said in the new issue of People magazine, which will hit newsstands Friday. “I could shower in less than three minutes.” What wasn’t easy was the 20 hours celeb hairstylist Ted Gibson spent giving Gosselin the blond hair extensions. With her new hair comes a new name, she jokes: “It’s hyphenated. I am now Kate Clean-Slate.” I do wonder if long hair is really the most practical when you’re a mother of eight. Will she be able to spend time styling it, or will it end up in a ponytail?
The idea of extensions has always kind of creeped me out, but I know that growing out your hair can take a long time, and given Kate’s bizarre, somewhat-mullety style, she would probably have a lot of hair-awkwardness on the journey. I guess as long as they look natural, extensions can be cool.
Long hair is definitely in right now. From Taylor Swift to the Kardashians, from The Hills to The City and Gossip Girl to Twilight, all our favorite ladies have long locks!
