Not too long ago health food just meant low in calories or fat. Now, as we become more conscious about our health and the things we put into our bodies, the focus of health food has shifted from what’s not in our food to the ingredients that are in them. The latest health foods are filled with health promoting ingredients like antioxidants, vitamins, seeds and whole grains that promote a well-balanced diet and aide in the body’s natural processes to keep you in optimum form. Vega’s new Vega Vibrancy Bars are the perfect example this: a delicious and nutrient-dense food that promotes good health.

Vega Vibrancy Bars have an ingredient list that will make any other health bar shake in their boots, including sprouted buckwheat, sprouted almonds, acai, Salba and hemp seeds. These bars are all-natural, raw, organic, and full of plant-based superfoods.

What really sets Vibrancy Bars apart from other bars are their sprouted ingredients, like buckwheat and almonds. With 17.5g of sprouts, Vibrancy Bars contain more sprouted ingredients than any other bar on the market. What’s the big deal? The sprouting process converts protein into amino acids, complex carbohydrates into simple carbohydrates, and fat into fatty acids, so your body doesn’t have to produce its own enzymes for easy digestion.

To be honest, when you open up the bar, it looks like pressed seaweed with seeds. If you have tried whole food bars that look like this before, you can probably already taste the bitter. Surprisingly, the bars are sweet and the sprouts provide a nice little crunch that most Vega bars don’t have and that breaks up the chewy texture quite nicely.

Vibrancy bars weigh in at 200-210 calories. The bars are small, so these aren’t diet bars. Health bar, after all, does not equal diet bar, so watch your calories, as always. They come in Chocolate Decadence, Green Synergy, and Wholesome Original flavors, and are available through their website. Stock up your kitchen, gym bag, and car and be ready for a hit of sprouted health anytime.

"it looks like pressed seaweed with seeds." Hehe. I've heard of these bars but haven't tried them. I really like that they've used sprouted ingredients! Very neat idea. They sound tasty. Thanks for the review!
