Product Review: Rilastil Skincare

From Intituto Ganassini, Italy’s bestselling cosmetic company, Rilastil is relatively new to the States. I was introduced to the line a few years ago and was impressed by the large line of highly specialized products focused on specific skin concerns. So I’ve decided to do things a little differently in this post as I like quite a few Rilastil products. These are in no particular order and if you are using Rilastil and I’ve left your fave off the list, please let me know in the comments as I’ve tried the entire line and am familiar with all products.

Hypersensitive Cream in Legere (light) or Optimale (heavy):

This cream comes in two different weights, Legere for oily/combination skin and Optimale for drier/more mature skin. From the Rilastil website:

“Hypersensitive Cream is fragrance, preservative, dye, wheat, lanolin, metal, soap and alcohol free to purely protect the skin without reaction. Immediately moisturizes and smoothes the skin while reducing wrinkles and fine lines over time.”

This cream is truly a godsend for those of us with sensitive or damaged skin. The scent is almost unnoticeable and it absorbs into the skin easily leaving it dewy and hydrated all day long.

Intensive Face and Neck Toning Cream

First a “warning”, this is only to be used on the neck if you have oily or acne prone skin. This cream is really heavy and is designed to tackle more mature skin, but I love that it also is beneficial for the neck too. Your neck and hands can give away you age faster than anything else and many women forget about the skin on the neck until it is too late.

Marketed as the #1 selling moisturizer in Italy, Intensive Toning Cream claims to:

“Immediately begin to deeply moisturize and improve elasticity of the skin while restoring tightness, smoothness and softness to the skin of the face and neck.”

I’ve also used this on my knees and elbows and love the results but I’m listening to my mom on this one and she loved how it made the skin on her neck feel.

Intensive Deliskin Cream

This cream is designed for redness, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis. The gel itself is actually a light green color (green cancels out red) and really helps alleviate the discomfort of any of these skin conditions.

To “borrow” from the website once again:

“Immediately begins to soothe and remove redness from the skin on contact. Also treats redness of the skin on a long term basis.”

It really does help with immediate redness and I’ve also used it on my nose when I have a cold and am trying to keep the nose peeling and redness to a minimum.

Mascara and Lipgloss in Natural and Brun

The make up side to the Rialstil line is small but effective. The mascara is probably one of the best mascara’s I’ve ever used but at $28.00 I admit I don’t buy it that often. The mascara comes in your standard Brown and Black and last all day long without flaking or smudging. I must say that it smells a little different but it’s not bad.

The lip glosses only come in two colors but they are great choices. Natural is a light pink shade that adds a highly opalescent shine without making your lips look too pale and Brun is what I would call a “matte” shade lip gloss. It’s a basic natural brown color without any shimmer or glitter. It just gives you a little color and super shine. Both glosses are fragrance and strange taste free.

There are quite a few more wonderful products from this line but these are my favorites. And here is something you don’t see everyday: They offer free samples of the products through the website. You only pay $4.95 for the S&H, you can choose your samples according to skin type and includes deluxe sized samples of each product. Having personally seen these kits let me tell you they are well worth the five bucks.
