I think it has been a long time coming that the American Heart Association start looking at making the practice of CPR more simple. These recommendations are not solely from the AHA themselves, however. It is an outgrowth from research that has been completed over the years which has determined that uninterrupted "compressions" provide a better chance of survival than nothing at all. With the concern over bloodborne pathogens, it is no wonder this new technique is becoming so popular. We have offered online training on this subject for several months already at www.cprclass.org.
